Redeeming a Voucher

A Voucher becomes another form of payment type.

For example redeeming a Value-based voucher process would be as follows:

On the Sale Form select the [Pay] button:

Choose 'Voucher' from the drop-down list. This will change the Payment form to include a Voucher Code:

Enter or swipe with a barcode reader, the Voucher code from the Value-based Voucher, and select [Find]:

It will then find and verify the Voucher number, at which point it will turn grey and the form will display the Production that it is being redeemed against (from the sale). If there is more than one Production in the sale, then the Production can be selected from a drop-down list.

On [OK] the following form will show if there is a value left on the Voucher.

Another Voucher can be generated for the remaining value, or the same number can be retained.

On [OK] the payment is listed as other payments under the <Payment> tab:

Note: a Value-based Voucher can only be redeemed for Tickets, not merchandise.

Redeeming a Merchandise Voucher

From the Administration Module select Administration > Redeem Merchandise Vouchers. The following window will appear:

Select a Production from the drop down list and then either type in or scan in using barcode reader the voucher number, and select the [Redeem] button.

A message will display advising successful redemption. If the voucher has already been redeemed a message advising this will be displayed.

Using a scanner is a good way to quickly redeem many vouchers, such as a batch of Programme Vouchers, collected the night before by Programme sellers.
