Monitor

Monitor is an add-on applet to the PatronBase system.

It does not require the booking system to be running on the PC while it is running. The purpose of Monitor is to provide a simple visual display of the state of a selected performance or production updated automatically at regular 15 minute time intervals.

To configure Monitor for your Patronbase system, hold down the Ctrl key while starting Monitor. To persist the settings you select for all logins, run Monitor with administrative permissions and select the Set as the default for all logins checkbox. The primary configuration information is the Connection String to your PatronBase system database. If you do not know the connection string for your system, talk to your PatronBase support agent.

Monitor will display statistics on a single performance similar to this:

There are a number of seat status statistics that can be monitored:

• Booked (Reserved but unpaid for)
• Sold
• Booked and Sold added together
• Available
• Held

The statistics are presented as a number and as a percentage:

The production is selected by picking an active Production from the drop down list, available from the Setup menu.

The statistic being monitored can be changed from a Single performance, to the whole Production run to date, or the entire Production run including future sales.

When another option is selected the monitor caption will refer to the selected option:

To view more information, click the More Detail menu item. If the statistic being monitored has a data breakdown it will be shown. Here, book types are detailed:

To hide this extra detail, click the Less Detail menu option.
